October 2021 Client of the Month

​    Constance started training with us in 2011. She initially joined our program to lose weight and improve her well being. Since starting her program, she’s achieved that and more. She has significantly decreased her body fat, dropped several dress sizes and lost more than 30 pounds. Through her perseverance and determination she has set goals and achieved them.   

    What Constance likes about her program is watching herself get better as time goes on the and the enjoyment she gets while putting that work in. She said, “I’ve developed a stronger core and am able to do the exercises that I could not do when I first started.”
​
    She brings her can do attitude to each session. Getting in shape is about more than just losing weight for her. It also includes having a better quality of life. We celebrate her 10 years of dedication and success. And that’s why she’s our Client of the Month. Congratulations Constance!

July 2021 Client of the Month

Tanya started training with us in March. She decided to start our program to "Feel more in control of my body” and “feel strong again.” Since starting her program, she’s lowered her BMI and worked over 4 inches off her frame and significantly strengthened her core.  


    What Tanya likes about her program is the guidance and getting more out of her workouts. She never imagined she could burn calories without a treadmill. As she said, “I want to be able to do what I want when I want. My body is within my control.” Putting it off a few more years won’t make it easier. 


    Tanya exemplifies her words “being fit is part of living a productive life.” She perseveres even through the challenge of early morning workouts.  We know getting out the bed after a long day and wanting to snooze a little longer is not easy. But she approaches each session with a positive attitude and her beautiful smile. And that’s why she’s our Client of the Month. Congratulations Tanya!

July 2020 Client of the Month

 ​  Valencia Wilson started training with us in June 2020. She decided to start our program because she was "rapidly gaining weight which compounded my joints, mobility and pain issues.” She said, “I was aging and declining at a fast pace and needed to take control and rein in my health issues.” Since starting her program, her breathing, posture and mobility have improved. She lost 6 pounds in her first month lowering her BMI. She's also sleeping better at nights and has more energy during the day.

    What Valencia likes about her program is, “I am so excited! I look forward to our early morning sessions. I am more productive and I love my posture. Now I face the world when I walk.”

    Her advice to people considering joining our program? “I would absolutely recommend Specialty Fitness with no reservations. June 2020 Client of the Month

    Sonya hasn’t only been training with us for years. She founded Specialty Fitness. She decided to start our program because she was tired of feeling tired, out of shape and wanted to get her blood pressure under control. It was a roller coaster experience going from being fit and healthy to overweight, sluggish and constantly tired. Side effects of medication made life challenging. Since starting Sonya dropped 50 pounds, lowered her BMI, controlled her blood sugar, lowered her blood pressure, and is now 5 dress sizes smaller. 
    What I like about my program is, “It helps me get results in less time than I spend in the gym. I designed it to help my clients improve their quality of life.”
    Her advice to people considering joining our program? “Training smart helps you spend more time living and less time in the gym.” And that’s why she is our Client of the Month.

April 2020 Client of the Month

Anita T started training with us in February 2020. She decided to start our program because she was having back issues and wanted to avoid surgery. She said, “I realized that I needed to get in shape physically. I’m getting older and I need to take care of myself.” Since starting Anita has melted over 4 pounds of body fat, lowered her BMI, and trimmed her body by several inches. 


    What Anita likes about her program is, “It gives me something to look forward to and it keeps me focused on me. My back pain is now minimal and I have a better outlook of getting physically fit.”


    Her advice to people considering joining our program? “I say don’t knock it until you try it because I was never into working out; but I find that I look forward to my sessions. We are happy to have her as part the Specialty Fitness family.  It has been a joy witnessing the progress she’s made. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Anita!


Febuary 2020 Client of the Month

Mary Goodley started training with us in January 2020. She decided to start our program to “Improve her health and maintain her independence.” Since starting Mary is “More conscious of her breath and breathing and  has a higher awareness of her body.” In one month she dropped body fat, lowered her BMI, reduced her resting Heart Rate, and trimmed more than 3 inches from her body. 


    Her energy and positive attitude add to the Specialty Fitness experience. Mary says, “I like the local location, classmates, and trainer. I am soo happy to have found this service, instruction and teammates.”


    Mary wants to be flexible and ward off arthritis and joint pains for as long as she possibly can. From day one she made the first move and continues to execute her exercises with grace. We are happy to have her as part the Specialty Fitness family.  In a matter of weeks she has begun to connect to her body and take her health in a positive direction. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Mary!

December 2019 Client of the Month


​Sally started training with us in September 2019. She decided to start our program in order to “Get rid of her walking stick.” Since starting Sally is “Getting in and out of the chair much easier, standing on her own, and walking taller." In three months she went from hunching over and shuffling slowly with a cane to stronger and standing on her own.

    Sally says, “What I like best about my program is my instructor, her patience, encouragement, and guidance through each exercise. If you’re on the fence about joining this program, I strongly suggest you contact Specialty Fitness, Inc.”

    Living out her golden years on her terms is important to Sally . She wants to have control of her own body. Her words: “I wanted to walk again for my 90th birthday. I heard about Sonya and how her classes helped other seniors. I’m so happy I found her!”  And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Sally!

August 2019 Client of the Month

Sabrina Francis started training with us in July 2019. She decided she needed to start a program to “feel stronger and avoid being unable to breathe due to a weak core. I just wanted to feel like myself again.” Since starting Sabrina is “sleeping much better, and stronger when it comes to getting in and out of bed, walking better. In one month she melted off more than 2% of her body fat.


    Sabrina says, “What I like best about my program is patience, clear instruction, encouraging, accountable. If you’re on the fence about joining this program, I’m already encouraging other women to contact Specialty Fitness, Inc.”

April 2019 Client of the Month

Debra M. started training with us in March 2019. Because of her medical issues she decided she needed to start a program. Since starting Debra’s feeling stronger, healthier, and energized. Her initial results: strengthened core, lower blood pressure, and increased flexibility.


    Debra says, “What I like best about my program is that Ms. L. is spiritually based, attentive to your needs, will make adjustments to your workout if needed and the atmosphere is fantastic: which is just what I need for this period of my life. To someone on the fence about joining this program: Don’t knock it until you try it. Once you try Ms. L. it will become an addiction.”


    Debra maintains a positive attitude regardless of what comes at her. She loves how she feels now. September 2018 Client of the Month

    Our Client Of The Month is Rita Etchie. She started training with us in June 2018. Rita had a desire to lose weight and get healthier. She decided she needed to start a program to help her achieve this goal. As a dedicated busy mom working full time, she also gives her time and energy to worthwhile causes. Rita completed the breast cancer walk to raise money for a cure. She lost 5lbs within the first few weeks since starting her Specialty Fitness training program.

    Rita says: “What I like best about Specialty Fitness is that it’s more personalized with smaller groups.  If you are on the fence about joining our program, this is a good option. Classes are short but impactful.”

    Rita’s busy schedule often has last minute changes. Even still, she found time to prepare for and run a marathon. She shows up with a positive attitude while “looking forward to even stronger better results.”  And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Rita!

June 2018 Client of the Month

Sculpt Your Better Body Bootcamp Member Sarah Clark  

Sarah started training with us in June 2014 because she decided she needed to start a program when she realized prom was right around the corner and wanted to fit in a smaller dress for the event. Since starting her program, she’s lost inches and fat from different parts of her body. She went off to college and still lost more weight.


    Sarah says: “What I like best about Specialty Fitness is the fact that there are others just like me trying to lose weight and I have seen the results for others and it’s very encouraging.  It shows me that I can lose weight too.  If you are on the fence about joining our program, I would say it is definitely worth it. It is hard work but it is all definitely worth it.”

    Sarah also likes that she has someone that believes in her and is willing to help her to achieve her goals.  And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Sarah!

May 2018 Client of the Month

Milena started training with us in May 2018 because she was looking for motivation and strength building. Since starting the program, she’s now understanding her body better. She notices improvement in the pelvic muscles and now has more strength and control.

February 2018 Client of the Month

Our Client Of The Month is Sonya Graham. She started training with us again in December 2017 to reclaim her health. This is a return from her hiatus during which she took a few steps backwards. Since restarting Sonya’s shown us that she hasn’t lost her groove. She put her muscle memory to work and has not missed a beat as if she never left. She continues to rebuild her strength and boost her metabolism.

What did Sonya say? “I needed to start a program for health reasons and weight gain. Sonya is so motivating, knowledgeable and makes it fun. I’ve lost 15 pounds. I feel better, stronger and have no more hip pain. If you’re thinking about joining this program- JOIN!!!”

Sonya is not talking about herself; we just happen to share the same first name. She did well the first time and is determined to garner even more improvement this time around. January 2018 Client of the Month

    Joyce started training with us in July 2017 to focus more on her health and gain strength. Her goals are important to her because she wants to live as long as she can and help as many people as she can. Since starting our program she has eliminated over 4 inches from her frame, lowered her resting heart rate, built up her overall strength and increased her flexibility.


    Joyce said, “I feel much stronger than when I started. I am more flexible. My eating habits have changed. I am more energetic. What I like best about this program: 1) one-on-one focus and attention; 2) personalized care even though it’s with 2-4 people; 3) I don’t like crowds, so this is best for me.”

December 2017 Client of the Month

    Cynthia started training with us in November 2017 because he wanted to “Take time to get in shape” and get back to feeling like herself. Cynthia is a busy professional, wife and mother with countless responsibilities. Since starting our program she has gotten stronger, increased her endurance, and reduced her body fat. She has built a foundation for good habits.

    What did Cynthia say? “I feel so much better since I started coming here. The workouts are fun. I’m getting stronger. My back pain is gone.” 

    Cynthia is always on the go. She is committed to her family and her success. By taking the time to take care of her health and well being, she is giving them a gift which better equips her to be there for them. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Cynthia!

    Rafael started training with us in July 2017 because he wanted to “Control my weight and my health.” Rafael was tired of being at his heaviest. Since starting our program he carved over 12 pounds of fat from his frame, lowered his BMI, and strengthened his core. He really kicked up his physical activity a couple notches to leave the sedentary life behind.

    What did Rafael say? “Since starting my program I’m able to do things and feel less tiredness. What I like best about my program is the fact that it is difficult yet it looks easy. I would say to someone on the fence about joining this program: ‘It takes years off your body. Go join.’” 

    Rafael takes his health so seriously that he gets up before sunrise to get his training sessions in. He is committed to achieving his goals, not giving excuses a chance to stop him. And that’s why he is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Rafael!

    Caryn  started training with us in May 2017 because she “Was ready to make some positive changes in her life.” Caryn is a former gymnast who became incapacitated from a serious back injury. Since starting our program she’s increased her flexibility, dropped several inches of body fat, reduced her pain, and improved her posture. She knows that she’s worth the effort she puts in and has really built her self-confidence.

    What did Caryn say? “Sonya has been a great trainer but an even better support system. I have had zero doubts in myself because she has given me the tools and confidence to be able to make the progress I have made and will continue to make and I love her for that! ”

August 2017 Client of the Month

    Our Client Of The Month is Nadene Reynolds. She started training with us in November 2016 because she “Felt blah, was gaining weight, felt weak and wasn’t happy with the way my body was starting to look.” Nadene thought she was too young to feel this way. Since starting our program her core strength has improved. She now knows how to stabilize her back and core to do day-to-day tasks without straining or hurting herself.

    What did Nadene say about Specialty Fitness? “I didn’t realize that those gentle exercises were working so well. What I like best about my program is the practical ways it helps me move and play.”

    Nadene doesn’t regret the time she spent refining her body with Specialty Fitness. By the 3rd week she saw results and felt a big difference. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month.  Congratulations Nadene!

    Our Client Of The Month is Constance Maitland. She started training with us in November 2011. Her goals: lose weight, improve her well-being. Constance came to us with knee and lower back problems. Since starting our program she lowered her BMI, lost weight, improved her mobility and significantly reduced her back pain.

    Constance has a zest for life. March 2017 Client of the Month

    Our Client Of The Month is Robyn Brown-Manning. She started training with us in September 2016. Her goals: lose weight, fit into her clothes. Robyn came to us lacking the energy to do things she desired and feeling unfit. Since starting our program she lowered her BMI, lost 3 pounds of body fat, and melted more than 3 inches off her body.

What did Robyn say about Specialty Fitness? “I wanted to start a program because I had high cholesterol and needed to lose weight. Since starting my program, my cholesterol numbers have begun to move in the right direction and I’ve improved posture. What I like best about the program is the personal attention and small classes. ”

    Robyn has learned to make herself a priority even with her busy schedule. She wants to live a long time and thinks she can do a lot more things that she wants to do in life more graciously if her body is fit. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month.  Congratulations Robyn!

Alex started training with us in June 2016. His goals: get healthy, build strength, relieve lower back pain. Alex came to us tired of being stuck below his acceptable level of fitness. Through our program he lowered his BMI, lost weight, and reduced his body fat dropping almost 8 inches overall.


What results did he say he achieved since starting his program? “Better posture, feel fitter, stronger, straighter. ”

    Even when his schedule gets crazy, Alex remains committed to his goals. He continues to make progress. Life happens and the holidays come around with their food and drink. Shing started training with us in August 2016. Her goals: increase flexibility, lose weight., become stronger. Now she can use her exercise mat without fear of not being able to get up.


What does she say: “Since starting my program at Specialty Fitness, my left arm can reach higher and I’m conscious of what I eat. What I like best about my program is working with someone who cares about my well-being. If I fall off my program they encourage me to get back on. Ruthann started training with us in May 2016. Her fitness goals were to get rid of back pain, lose weight, and improve her mobility. Now she’s able to stand up straight and losing inches. She has the confidence to travel and keep up with the hours of movement required of her as a Travel Professional.

September 2016 Client of the Month

Summer Slim Down Member Patrick Dawkins

Patrick started training with us last month in our 21 Day Summer Slim Down. His fitness goals: to lose weight and reduce low back pain.  

 
After 3 weeks in our program, he's had massive strength gains, dropped 6 pounds of body fat, lost over 7 inches, and decreased his BMI. And the back pain got left in his past. Congratulations Patrick! Not only have you put in the work to get results results, but you've also made a special place for yourself in the Specialty Fitness family.

August 2016 Clients of the Month

Rayan and Angelica James

Rayan and Angelica started training with us in July 2016. They joined our program to improve their health and lose weight by getting fit mentally and physically. Although they already looked good from the outside, they wanted their bodies to look great on the inside. Before joining our 21-Day Summer Slim Down Challenge, they were very sedentary with work.
 
Since starting our program, they’ve melted more than 15 pounds of fat off their bodies, increased their lean mass, and reduced their BMI to healthy status. Nutrition lessons they learned in our program helped them form new healthy eating habits with food that actually tastes good. It has been such a pleasure training them. These two really know how to have fun no matter what! Here at Specialty Fitness, we believe in making fitness fun.
 
Rayan and Angelica lowered their heart rates and blood pressures, increased their strength, boosted their metabolisms -and Angelica even surpassed her weight loss goal! July 2016 Client of the Month

Paula started training with us in March 2016. She joined our program to take control of her health while she still has it and improve her muscle tone. For her fitness is not just about looking good outside, but taking care of what’s going on inside the body. Before joining VIP she was so tired during the day that exhaustion set in by the time she got in the car. She’s tried diets and gyms, but just couldn’t seem to win.
 
What does she say about Specialty Fitness? “I wanted an instructor who nurtures and is supportive. Results achieved since starting this program: clothes looser, learning how to breathe correctly, more energy. What I like best about this program is being taught the right way to do exercises and having goals that are set. June 2016 Client of the Month

Cindy started training with us in March 2016. She joined our program to “Get into better shape and tighten whatever I can on this weight loss journey” so she could fit into her dress for her daughter’s wedding. Before joining VIP she was sedentary most of the day. In the past she tried going to the gym and exercising on her own, different diets and weight loss programs.
      
We love training with Cindy because she always brings the sunshine with her. No matter what she arrives at each training session with a positive attitude -which happens to be contagious. In addition, she has really cool bouncy hair. 

Since starting her program, Cindy has grown to enjoy exercise and actually looks forward to her training sessions. With 5 months to go before her daughter’s wedding, Cindy’s dress already has to be taken in because of the inches she’s already shed. Even with her busy schedule -which includes travel, she continues to move towards her weight loss goal. Her commitment to what she says she wants is made plain through her actions. May 2016 Client of the Month

Vilma France

Vilma started training with us in April 2016. She joined our program to increase her flexibility, strengthen her core, and improve her cardiovascular condition. Before joining VIP she was feeling low on energy. In the past she tried exercising on her own for health reasons. But she did not expect the results she began to see and feel within even the first month of her program. Not only is Vilma pleased with her results so far, but although she’s over 60, she has no problem keeping up with everyone here. Her zest for life and dedication to serving others is inspiring. She refuses to relegate herself to the rocking chair.

What does she say about Specialty Fitness? “Try it, you’ll like it.”

Since starting her program, Vilma has more energy, mobility, flexibility and her cholesterol went down. She now has to pull her belt a few notches tighter. April 2016 Client of the Month

Juanita started training with us in March 2016. She joined our program to get moving and tone up. Before joining VIP she was feeling tired all the time and was usually pooped out by lunchtime. In the past she tried doing crunches and even bought dumbells, which ended up at home catching dust. Her attempts at fitness fizzled out after a few days. So Juanita realized she needed someone to help her stay consistent.

 
What does she say about Specialty Fitness? “I look forward to the class and exercises even when I have aches and pains. By the end of the session, I feel energized. After a shower, I sleep very well.”


 Juanita lost 4 pounds of fat resulting in a 3% decrease in body fat, increased her stamina and gotten stronger! She proves her commitment to achieving her goals by not letting life get in her way. And that’s why she is our Client of the Month. Congratulations Juanita!

March 2016 Client of the Month

Pat started training with us in February 2016. His fitness goals were to get healthy, lose weight , and improve his mobility. Since joining our VIP program, Pat lost 10 pounds by his third week in the program. He no longer has difficulty getting up from the floor which enables him to better enjoy playing with his grandkids. 


 
Pat is very busy with family, work and community involvement. You'd never know from his cool demeanor. It's impossible be in his presence without cracking a smile. Workout time at the Specialty Fitness studio is always fun, but it's even more so when Pat is here. We love having him and his better half, the lovely Clara, as part of our Specialty Fitness family. January 2016 Client of the Month

A tenacious spirit lies within this q​uiet young lady. Michelle started training with us in the middle of December 2015. She joined our program to lose weight and get healthy. In the past she tried boot camps, Weight Watchers, gym memberships and more, but failed to get the results she desired. After losing weight several times only to gain it back, Michelle was ready for a change.


What does she say about Specialty Fitness? “Great workout without damaging my body. I always knew some exercises past trainers had me do were not the best for my body type and current weight. Losing inches without squats or being in pain. I had to get used to the idea of not jumping around and pushing through pain to workout. I always knew there was a way I could get a good workout without injury or pain.”
